Vst Plugins Not Working Ableton 10

  • Turn the plug-in folder off and on again. If you've verified that you've installed it to the correct folder.
  • 3) Force Ableton to rescan the plugin: (Example with FG-X below) #1 – Move the FG-X Mastering Console.vst file out of your vstplugin folder #2 – Restart Live.
  • Massive X does not appear in Ableton Live 10 plugins folder after installation and plugins folder refresh. The massivex.dll is inside my VST folder where all the other VSTs are, I have reinstalled it several times but the issue remains.
  • Can I use third-party plug-ins in Live Lite? Yes, Live Lite supports VST plug-ins (Windows, Mac) as well as Audio Unit (AU) plug-ins (Mac only). Find instructions on how to use VST plug-ins with Live on your Windows computer here. If you are on a Mac and use VST and AU plug-ins, check out this article.
  • The issue is simply, the Komplete Kontrol plugin is not found in your VST location that you have set in Live. It's pretty easy to resolve: Open Native Access Preferences Check the VST 64 Location path: Next, open Ableton Live and check the VST Path.
  • Most free plugins, including the DSK ones, are 32 bit. If you're using a 64 bit host, you need to bridge the 32 bit plugins to work in a 64 bit host. As has already been stated, you can do this with an application such as jbridge.

If your NI plug-ins do not appear in the Third Party section of the Browser, do the following: Open the Live Preferences and go to the section Plug-Ins ('File Folder' on older Live versions). Make sure the options Use Audio Units and/or Use VST Plug-In System Folders are set to On, depending on which plug-in type(s) you wish to use.

Audacity VST Enabler is a program that allows the VST plugins to work. Visual Studio Technology (VST), on the other hand, is a plug-in software that adds several effects in an audio recording and editing tool.

It provides a variety of functionalities including virtual instrument sounds. However, VST enabler is no longer required for Audacity’s latest version. You can now download the VST plugins and directly add it to the Audacity audio recorder to enable the effects.

If you are using an older version of Audacity (e.g. v. 1.3), you might need to get the Audacity VST Enabler. But it has been removed in the Audacity’s official site since the release of the newer version. The only choice you can have is to update your Audacity and download the VST plugins.

To check the version of your Audacity, go to the Help menu and click About Audacity. Or, you can update it to the latest version by clicking the Check for Updates and it will redirect you to the download page. Please see the article on How to Use Audacity for a complete guide.

Ableton Live 9: (Mac and PC)

ARCADE doesn't support 32-bit systems on MacOS + PC, and it's likely the reason that you can't see ARCADE in Live 9.

Free Ableton Vst

Please try scanning your plugins and also make sure you're running a 64-bit version of Ableton Live, which may require an update. To determine if you're running a 64-bit application you can use the following steps:

Installing Vst Plugins Ableton

  1. Type the following keyboard shortcut Command ⌘ + Space bar to launch Spotlight.
  2. Type System Information and hit Enter when it shows up.
  3. Scroll down to the Software section in System Information.
  4. Click Applications and wait for your applications to load.
  5. The column to the far right in the Applications table will give you a simple, 'Yes' or 'No' answer as to whether or not your app is 64-bit.

If your copy of Live 9 is not 64-bit then that is the reason you can't see it in your DAW.
