How To Use Vst Plugins With Reaper
I know where my Amplitube4.dll and Amplitube4.vst3 extension files are located in my PC, but when I try to add them from the preferences window in Reaper, they don't show up.
How To Use Vst Plugins Reaper
In REAPER, press Ctrl + P (Windows) / Cmd + , (Mac) to access Preferences. Go to Plug-ins VST. Under “VST Plugin Path,” make sure that the path where you placed your plugins is listed (if not, add it) see the screenshot for how I added C: REAPER UserPlugins VST after the other two default folders. Created by Steinberg, a German musical software and equipment company, the VST plug-in standard is the audio plug-in standard that allows third-party developers to make VST plug-ins. Users can download VST plug-ins on Mac OS X, Windows, and Linux. The vast majority of VST plug-ins are available on Windows. Run the airwave-manager Press the “Create link” button on the toolbar. Select desired wine loader and wine prefix in the appropriate combo boxes. Enter a path to VST plugin DLL file in the “VST plugin” field (you can use the “Browse” button for convenience).
In other words, they exist, but the window doesn't show them as being there. And I'm not sure if there's anything else that I need to do for them to show up.
I'm not stupid, just a bit inexperienced as to how to do it.
Adding Vst To Reaper
Underneath you can see there are plugins for VST, VSTi, AU, AUI, Js etc. If you know specifically the type of plugin then you could probably go into the that folder. As you can see from the screen shot, in the ‘Filter List’ I have typed ‘had’ and this has brought up all my UAD plugins. Plugins Automatically resize VST/DX config windows: By default, REAPER will automatically resize the window containing FX plug-ins to match the size of the size of the largest plug-in displayed. Select the down check box if you want the window to automatically resize down when switching to a plug-in with a smaller GUI.
Any help or suggestions are appreciated.AS an aside, AmpliTube works fine as a stand alone, as does Reaper. I'm just wanting these 2 to make friends so I can get some work done.
